“Pink Floyd The Later Years” cofanetto di 16 CD (5 CD, 6 Blu-Ray, 5 DVD) e 2 LP 7’’ che raccoglie il materiale creato da David Gilmour, Nick Mason e Richard Wright dal 1987 in poi.
Quel periodo generò un record di vendite di più di 40 milioni in tutto il mondo ed includeva i tre album in studio: “A Momentary Lapse of Reason”, “The Division Bell” e “The Endless River” come anche i due album live “Delicate Sound of Thunder” e “Pulse”.
Con una produzione aggiuntiva di David Gilmour e Andy Jackson, più di 13 ore di audio e materiale audiovisivo inedito, inclusi gli ambiti concerti di Venezia nel 1989 e Knebworth nel 1990, “Pink Floyd The Later Years” è un must per i fan.
L’album, presentato per la prima volta in 5.1, è stato remixato ed aggiornato da David Gilmour e Andy Jackson. La pubblicazione del progetto Later Years fornisce l’opportunità di avere una visione fresca dell’album “A Momentary Lapse of Reason”. Rielaborando alcune parti di tastiera di Richard Wright e registrando nuove tracce di batteria con Nick Mason, i produttori David Gilmour e Bob Ezrin hanno restaurato il bilancio creativo tra i tre membri dei Pink Floyd.
Due delle aggiunte più ricercate a “Pink Floyd The Later Years” sono il concerto di Venezia del 1989, eseguito su un palco galleggiante di fronte piazza San Marco e l’esibizione ai Silver Clef Awards del 1990 a Knebworth. Entrambi i concerti, precedentemente inediti, sono disponibili ora su DVD e Blu-Ray.
