C'è solo un Wacken Open Air! Nessun altro festival infiamma l'estate come il più grande e conosciuto metal meeting nell'estremo nord della Germania! L'edizione del 2012 è stata particolarmente interessante perché ha visto esibirsi band come Volbeat, Edguy e Testament di fronte ad una folla di 75.000 metalheads! Contiene le migliori performance del festival e soprattutto quella da headliner dei Volbeat affiancati da vari guests sul palco: Mille Petrozza (Kreator) e Michael Denner (Mercyful Fate) insieme per '7 Shots' e Barney Greenway (Napalm Death) per cantare 'Evelyn' prima di presentare il loro classico 'Pool Of Booze, Booze, Booza'. Tantissime altre sono le bands che si sono esibite: Hammerfall, Saxon, Overkill, Suffocated, Decapitated, Leaves' Eyes e molti altri.
